Allan Vorda was raised in Nebraska and graduated from Creighton
Prep (1966) and
Creighton University (B.A., 1972), where he was a classmate of Ron Hansen's,
and from the University of Nebraska —
Omaha (MA, 1976).
Currently living in Sugar Land, TX, he is the president of his own company
selling Environmental
Rooms for university research.
He raises his children, working with them on sports, primarily with his
son, who plays
baseball in high school. Once his children graduate from high school,
Vorda plans to build a house
in Estes Park, CO. His future goals include climbing all mountains in
Colorado over 13,000 feet and writing a novel. He says, "I think the
mountains will be easier."
