BENJAMIN VOGT
Benjamin was born in Oklahoma City and has lived in Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, Nebraska,
and England. He has a BFA from the University of Evansville and an MFA from The Ohio State
University. Benjamin is currently pursuing a PhD in both poetry and creative nonfiction
at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Author of a poetry chapbook, Indelible Marks (Pudding House),
his poems and essays have appeared in
The Alsop Review, Crab Orchard Review, Cream City Review, Diagram, Ellipsis, Fugue,
Portland Review, Puerto del Sol, Valparaiso
Poetry Review, Verse Daily, and several anthologies.
He has received a grant from the Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg
Memorial Fund, the Louise VanSickle Fellowship, a Weldon Kees Scholarship to the Nebraska Summer
Writers' Conference, and been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He is currently at work on a
poetry collection based on family photographs from the last two centuries, and a memoir about
gardening with his mother while growing up in Minnesota.
