JEANNE SCHIEFFER is currently Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager for the Nebraska Public Power District. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of South Dakota and a Master of Arts from the University of Nebraska – Kearney. Her poetry has been published in The Carillon, The Reynolds Review, Seasons to Come, and will be included in The Untidy Season: An Anthology of Nebraska Women Poets. She has a fifteen-year portfolio of work published in business and utility and trade magazines, newspapers, videos, and advertisements for radio and television. She is the author of the novel Once You’ve Had It and former publisher and editor of Writing Works: A Quarterly Publication for Students and Teachers of Writing. She is married, has two daughters, and lives in Columbus, Neb.
