LADETTE RANDOLPH is executive editor at University of Nebraska Press. She is the author of the short story collection This Is Not the Tropics (University of Wisconsin Press) and editor of the anthologies A Different Plain: Contemporary Nebraska Fiction Writers (University of Nebraska Press, 2004) and The Big Empty: Contemporary Nebraska Nonfiction Writers, with Nina Shevchuk-Murray (U of Nebraka Press, 2007). The recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation grant and a Virginia Faulkner Award from Prairie Schooner, her short fiction and essays have been published in numerous literary journals including Prairie Schooner, Fourth Genre, The Clackamas Literary Review, and Connecticut Review. In addition, she has been reprinted in Best New American Voices: 2000 and in the Pushcart Prize volume.
