The family of fiction writer LON OTTO lived in Omaha for several generations. He has published two collections of stories — A Nest of Hooks (University of Iowa Press) and Cover Me (Coffee House). His stories have been collected in Flash Fictions, Townships, American Fiction, and Best Words, Best Order, and is forthcoming in Flash Fictions Forward. He holds the PhD from Indiana University and has lived in Costa Rica, taught in Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. He is Professor of English at the University of St Thomas, in St Paul, Minnesota, where he teaches writing and literature.
