JUDY LORENZEN grew up in Malcolm and Grand Island, Nebraska. She presently resides in Central City. She is a PhD student at UNL in the Rhetoric and Composition program. She holds a BA, English; MSED, Community Counseling (LMHP); MA, Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska-Kearney; and a ThD from an online seminary. She teaches high-school English, is a Fine Lines online editor, and a reader for UNL's Prairie Schooner literary magazine. She was a contributing writer for the Heartland Gatekeeper newspaper and the winner of the 2009 Nebraska Shakespeare Sonnet Contest. Her work appears in The Nebraska English Journal, Nebraska Poet's Calendar, Fine Lines, Times of Singing, Plains Song Review, Relief Literary Journal, Plainsong, Celebrate: A Collection of Writings by and About Women (Volume XVI), The Untidy Season: An Anthology of Nebraska Women Poets, Nebraska Life, and The Fence Post. Her chapbook He's a Piece of Work is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press.
