An Evening with Ted Kooser,
13th Poet Laureate of the United States!




Here's to our own local wonder, Ted Kooser — poet, teacher, storyteller, and the recently appointed 13th Poet Laureate of the United States, the first from the Great Plains. Join people from across Nebraska as we honor a great talent and his historic appointment in An Evening with Ted Kooser, February 8, 7:30 PM, at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts, 12th & R Streets, University of Nebraska — Lincoln. The event is free and open to the public. Ted will read selected works and discuss poetry. His most recent books are a poetry collection, Delights and Shadows and a book about writing poetry, The Poetry Home Repair Manual. A reception and book signing will follow his presentation. Nebraska Lectures are part of the Chancellor's Distinguished Lecture Series at UNL. This tribute to Ted Kooser is hosted by UNL's Office of Research & Graduate Studies and co-sponsored by UNL and the City of Lincoln. Can't make it to Lincoln?
