DAVID MCCLEERY, a poet living in Lincoln, is editor of A Slow Tempo Press, in Lincoln, and the literary journal Leaves of Grass. He is also an alumnus of the Plains Writers Series, a foundation dedicated to bringing regional poets and writers to campuses statewide. David also organized the radio show "Poets of the Plains", for KZUM in Lincoln, a two-year project that eventually recorded interviews and readings with thirty-two Nebraska writers. These tapes are available at the Bennet Martin branch of the Lincoln Library. He's the Pipe Major for the Lincoln Pipe Band (www.lincolnpipeband.org) and says, "I swim way too much and am thinking about running another marathon this spring." |
