CONNIE CROW is a Kansas native, but as adopted Nebraska as the home of her heart, having lived in Bellevue for 45 years with her husband and spoiled Brittany. She graduated summa cum laude from Bellevue University, salutatorian of her class. She holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).
Crow worked public relations and marketing for more than thirty-seven years, first with Northwestern Bell then U S WEST. She was a photojournalist for NWB NEWS and US WEST TODAY for several years. She served as editor of the Energy Resource Management Review, one of the specialty publications issued by U W WEST Communications. She won four awards for newspaper writing and design from district competitions of the International Association of Business Communicators. Her newspaper also won an International Merit Award in the IABC Bronze Quill competition. During her career, Crow had several articles published nationally in Telephony and Telecommunications Monthly magazines.
Crow also worked ten years in the Architecture/Engineering industry, becoming a CPSM (Certified Professional Services Marketer), having passed the national A/E certification exam. At the time, only six people held that certification in Nebraska. In that capacity, she and two other marketing specialists, designed, wrote, and produced a web seminar on copyright law and presented that web seminar live to nearly 200 participants across the country.
In addition, Mrs. Crow is published author, having five books published both in e-book and print formats. She writes romance novels, both contemporary and historical, which are published by Awe-Struck publishing, an imprint of Mundania Press. She is a pioneer in the e-book field, having had books continuously available for purchase since 1996. Her books are available in many formats including the new Kindle format, put out by Current books include Moonlight Fire (historical romance, set at Fort Atkinson), Daughter of the Dragon (historical romance, set in the Idaho gold rush), No Place for a Lady (Regency romance), Little Secrets (contemporary romance, set in Colorado and Nebraska), and Dark Side of Paradise (Contemporary romance, set in Hawaii).The current work in progress is Not Just Any Lord, a sequel to No Place for a Lady.
Crow lends her talents to several organizations. She has been a member of the Heartland Writers Group for more than ten years. She was one of the founding members of EPIC, the Electronically Published Internet Connection, and online organization for authors of electronically published books. Her book, Daughter of the Dragon, was a finalist in their international competition in 2004. Crow currently serves as the secretary of the Nebraska Writer's Guild.
