LOWEN CLAUSEN grew up on the plains of Nebraska, reading books about far-away places. He moved with his young family to one of those places while holding on to the roots of his childhood. He is still holding on and divides his time between Seattle, Washington and his childhood home in St. Paul, Nebraska. Lowen worked as a police officer on the Seattle Police department for thirteen years, and that experience is revealed in much of his writing. While a police officer, he studied literature at the University of Washington and went on to become a business owner in Seattle’s Ballard district. |
