Poet ROBERT CHURCHILL has been published widely in literary magazines. He earned his BA from Creighton University in 1966. Two years in graduate school were followed by two years in the United States Army — one of those (1969-70) as a Combat Engineer/Demolition Specialist in Vietnam. After finishing the MA at Creighton in 1970, Churchill served as a full-time instructor in English at the University of Nebraska — Lincoln, from which he received his PhD (Nineteenth-Century British Literature/Victorian Studies) in 1979. He has been a member of the English Department faculty at Creighton University since 1980. In addition to poetry, he has written scholarly papers on Carlyle, Tennyson, Browning, Victorian Mysticism, Joseph Conrad, Eastern Literature, and Nineteenth-Century Travel/Adventure Narratives.
