Screenwriter JON BOKENKAMP, from Kearney, is the author of
Taking Lives. He taught at the University of Nebraska — Kearney
and attended the University of Southern California film school.
His previous film, which he both wrote and directed, is
Bad Seed, starring Dennis Farina and Luke Wilson.
In addition, he was an editor on Omaha: The Movie.
He traces his interest in movies back to childhood, when he first saw
Star Wars.
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Kathy, a teacher from Kearney, and their
son, Jackson Thorne Bokenkamp.
