Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How much does the Writing Center cost?

The Writing Center is free for all members of the Creighton community.

Q: How far in advance do I need to schedule a day and time?

You should try to schedule a session as early as possible. The book tends to fill up very quickly.

Q: Can I just drop in with a paper?

We always welcome walk-in sessions; however, the book does tend to fill up quickly. As such, if there are no available sessions when you drop in, then we would not be available to collaborate with you.

Q: Can I drop a paper off for someone to look at?

Unfortunately, no. (Please see our Mission.)

Q: What if I can't make my session?

If you cannot make your session, please stop back and “white out” your name.

Q: There are no available sessions for the time I need. What do I do?

We have a Waiting List available for every day there are sessions scheduled. You can sign up with your name and a local phone number, and we will call you if there are any cancellations.

Q: Who can I contact about other questions I have?

You can email the director, Rob Dornsife, at robert@creighton.edu.

(Rob’s faculty home page is here.)
