Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does the Writing Center cost?

Nothing! The Writing Center services are free for all members of the Creighton community.

Q: How far in advance do I need to schedule an appointment?

You Should try to schedule an appointment as early as possible. The appointment book tends to fill up fast.

Q: Can I just drop in with a paper?

We always welcome walk-in appointments, however, the appointment book does tend to fill up quickly. As such, if there are no available appointments when you drop in, then we would not be available to work with you. Signing up for an appointment guarantees we will be available to assist you at a convenient time.

Q: Can I drop a paper off for someone to look at?

Unfortunately, no. We prefer to work with you, collaborating, communicating, and exchanging ideas one-on-one.

Q: What if I can't make my appointment?

If you cannot make your appointment, you must call to cancel so that another student may sign up in your place. Please see our appointment page for more information.

Q: I need an appointment, but there are no available appointments for the time I need. What do I do?

We have a Waiting List available for every day there are appointments scheduled. You can sign up with your name and a local phone number, and we will call you if there are any cancellations.

Q: Who can I contact about other questions I have?

You can email the Director, Dr. Robert Dornsife, at robert@creighton.edu.
