Graduate Certificate Programs


 

Certificate in Rhetoric and Composition

Comprised of the Composition Core of the MA program in Rhetoric and Composition, the certificate program is designed for, but not restricted to, persons with a graduate degree of any type, but particularly in English or Language Arts, who desire advanced study in Rhetoric and Composition — in effect, a second Master's-level major area.

The program requires (12 hours):

Eng. 720: Topics in the History of Composition and Pedagogy
Eng. 722: Topics in Rhetoric and Composition Theory
Eng. 723: Topics in Technology and Rhetoric
Eng. 724: Topics in Rhetoric and Composition Pedagogy Supervised Teaching Practicum (one of the following): Eng. 680, 681, 682, 683
