We invite papers and panels on any aspects of JamesŐs work, life, or influence; on Jamesian narrative, cultural, historical or critical ŇstrandsÓ; on James in Newport/Newport in James; and on new directions and critical legacies in James studies.

 

For paper proposals, send a 500-word abstract (maximum) and brief vitae; for panel proposals, send a 700-word abstract (maximum) summarizing the panelŐs rationale and describing each paper. Please send too a brief vitae for each speaker.  

 

Panels will be accepted or rejected as a whole. Proposals must include titles of papers (and panel if appropriate); presenterŐs (and panel organizerŐs) name(s) and institutional affiliation(s); mailing address, phone, fax and email address; two (2) copies of submitted materials (for hard-copy proposals).  Presentations should be fifteen to twenty minutes long and in English.  Panels should consist of three to four papers and may be chaired by one of the presenters.
