Minneapolis born and Omaha raised, Christine Hope Starr is a poet and writer of creative non-fiction who
holds the MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, which nominated her for Best New Poets 2009. Her work
appears or is forthcoming in California Quarterly, Cider Press Review, Compass Rose, Confrontation,
Clackamas Literary Review, Eclipse, Front Range Review, Manorborn, Nebraska Poets on Sheldon Paintings,
Permafrost, Spoon River Poetry Review, Studio One and Whiskey Island Magazine.
Her poetry manuscript, Nature Will Out, was a
semi-finalist for the 2009 Washington Prize.
She teaches for the English department at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska,
and is a reader for Hunger Mountain.
