BOB ROSS was born in 1944 at the Brown County Hospital to a mother who taught high school and a father still determined to be a rancher. He was, by his own admission, "the smartest child my mother had seen, and I myself adopted this view for a time. No longer as intelligent, I live north of Ainsworth, teach part-time sometimes at Sinte Gleska University, and write fiction." His published work includes Solitary Confinement, a book of poems, and In the Kingdom of Grass, a book of essays with photos by Margaret MacKichan. |
