ANDY POLLOCK grew up on the southern reaches of the Nebraska
Sand Hills and attended a one-room country school through sixth
grade. He received his bachelors degree in news-editorial
journalism with a minor in English from the University of
Nebraska Lincoln, where he also earned a juris doctorate.
His poetry has been published in magazines and journals, including
Nebraska Life, Time of Singing, and Windhover.
Andy, his wife Kris, and their four children live in Lincoln,
where Andy is a lawyer. He enjoys hiking in the hills and ravines
of Nebraska and mountains of Colorado, fly-fishing, reading, and
running. He founded, and continues to coordinate, the Sandhills
Marathon, run on a one-lane blacktop road in Cherry County.
