JUDY LORENZEN grew up in Malcolm and Grand Island, Nebraska. She presently resides in Central City. She holds a BA, English; MSED, Community Counseling (LMHP), and MA, Creative Writing from the University of Nebraska — Kearney. She teaches high-school English, is a Fine Lines online editor, and a past contributing writer for the Heartland Gatekeeper newspaper. Her work appears in The Nebraska English Journal, Nebraska Poet’s Calendar, Fine Lines, Times of Singing, Plains Song Review, Relief Literary Journal, Plainsong, and Nebraska Life magazine. She has two poems forthcoming in Celebrate: A Collection of Writings by and About Women (Volume XVI) and one poem in The Untidy Season: An Anthology of Nebraska Women Poets. She was a winner of the 2009 Nebraska Shakespeare Sonnet Contest.
