JEFF LACEY received his B.A. in English-Writing and Philosophy at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and eventually returned to his hometown Ralston, Nebraska, to teach high school English and composition. His poetry can be found in publications like Measures, The Hiram Review, Great Plains Quarterly, Nebraska Life, and The Nebraska Poetís Calendar. His awards include the Oscar C. Macellaio Poetry Prize, and his first book of poetry, Keep Going, was published in 2011 by Rogue Faculty Press. His book Flushed During Play: 51 Pet Rodent Deaths was recognized as an honors book at the Nebraska Book Awards in the design/illustration category. Jeff also served as the editor of the teacherís edition of the Loren Eiseley Reader. He lives with his wife Katrena and their three children in Ralston.
