KATIE KELLY
was born in Omaha and raised in Albion, Nebraska. She attended Albion High School, going on to earn a
Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of Missouri, triple majoring in Journalism, English, and History. She also attended
the University of California Berkeley. She has worked as a writer for Time Magazine, she has been a television
critic for the New York Post, an on-air movie and theatre critic for WNBC-TV (New York), TV critic for
"The Today Show," movie critic on "The Morning Show" with Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford, and movie critic for
"Entertainment Tonight."
Her books include The Wonderful World of Women's Wear Daily (Saturday Review Press,
1972),
My Prime Time: Confessions of a TV Watcher (Saturday Review Press, 1973), and
A Year in Saigon (Simon & Schuster, 1992). She's at work on a new book to be called
The Kellys: A Midwestern Memoir.
