NEW VOICES

The Creative Writing Program at Creighton joins forces with UNO's Writers' Workshop each semester to host NEW VOICES readings featuring two student writers from Creighton and two from UNO reading from their own work. This semester's NEW VOICES reading with UNO is on Tuesday, February 28, at 7:00 p.m., at the Reading Grounds, a great independent bookstore and coffeeshop on 40th & Farnam

Join us when we open our classroom doors to the public for two exciting days with distinguished writers Art Homer, David Jauss, Anna Monardo, and Tim Schaffert,(click here for more info on The Writers of Spring) as they visit the Creighton English Department’s Creative Writing Program to join our classes, read from their works, and answer questions about the writing life. All the events below (except student conferences, as noted) are open to the public and free, thanks to the generosity of Creighton’s College of Arts and Sciences. Please drop by our "hospitality room" to chat with other participants, or just hang out between events!.

 

TED KOOSER

Poet Laureate of the United States, Ted Kooser, reading from his works. Event sponsored by Creighton English, Creative Writing and World Literature Programs, Concerts and Films Committee, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Reinert Alumni Library, Bedford St. Martin's Press, and the University of Nebraska Press.

 

 

  SUSAN AIZENBERG & LU YE

Visiting Chinese poet Lu Ye joins our own Susan Aizenberg for this very special evening of poetry.
