Fiction writer CHAUNA CRAIG earned a PhD from the University of Nebraska — Lincoln. She has taught at the University of Arkansas — Monticello and now teaches creative writing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is the author, with Liz Ahl of Time is Thirsty (Ultima Obscura, 1997). Her fiction has appeared in Ascent, Clackamas Literary Review, Quarterly West, Passages North, Prairie Schooner, and elsewhere. Her awards include Pushcart Prize nominations and scholarships to both the Bread Loaf and Aspen Writers' Conferences. Her academic specialties are prose writing (fiction and nonfiction), writing theories and pedagogies, contemporary literature, and gender theory/literature. Research interests also include popular culture, literature of the West, and ethnic literatures.
