CAT DIXON is an adjunct professor in the Writer's Workshop of the University of Nebraska, Omaha. She serves on the Board of Trustees for The Backwaters Press. Her work has appeared in Sugar House Review, Coe Review, Midwest Quarterly Review, and Eclectica, among other places, and several of her poems and creative nonfiction pieces have been anthologized. She taught classes with the University of Nebraska's Life Long Learning program until its closing in 2011. Her poetry was selected for a 2011 Lit Undressed Event, which is part of the Downtown Lit Fest held annually. She specializes in one-on-one mentoring and workshops. She has two children, Pierce and Leven.
