Fiction writer EVETTA ANDERSSON grew up in Missouri but now lives in Omaha. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha's Writer's Workshop and has studied at the Ploughshares Fiction Conference in the Netherlands. In 1995 she won the Fiction Prize at the State University of New York Stony Brook. She is also the winner of the Cornell Fiction Prize (2000), where she is completing her MFA. She has worked as a fashion model, a carriage driver, and a hot walker. A two-time winner of the national championship in the North American Trail-Riding Competition, she has also trained jumping mules. |
