Katie Wudel is a writer, educator, and arts advocate living
in Manhattan. Her stories and essays have appeared in or are
forthcoming in Tin House, Prairie Schooner, McSweeney's Quarterly
Concern, Nerve.com, The Rumpus, Quick Fiction, Monkeybicycle,
and many more magazines. Katie holds an MFA in creative writing
from California College of the Arts, a BA in creative writing from
Creighton University, and has taught creative writing at San
Francisco's School of the Arts and the University of Nebraska
Omaha Writer's Workshop. Her piece "Tongueless" was listed among
Wigleaf Magazine's Top [Very] Short Fictions of 2011. She has
held residencies at the Hedgebrook residency for visionary women
writers, the Squaw Valley Community of Writers, and the Summer Literary Seminars. She currently lives in Morningside Heights, Manhattan.
