RAJEAN LUEBS SHEPHERD spent happy childhood days growing up in Bay City, Michigan near Lake Huron. Upon graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in elementary education, the world became her classroom as she traveled for ten years and performed with the international, educational, musical organization, Up With People. She resides in North Platte with her husband, Stuart, and her two sons, Breton and Collin. She loves her job as a substitute teacher and enjoys sharing her favorite children's books with her students. Rajean is excited to showcase the great state of Nebraska in her books C is for Cornhusker — A Nebraska Alphabet, part of the "Discover America State by State" series published by Sleeping Bear Press, and Husker Numbers: A Nebraska Number Book, also from Sleeping Bear Press.
