Born in Iowa, poet ERIN NOTEBOOM
is a graduate of Creighton University and now lives
in Kitchener, Ontario, where she works as an editor for The New Quarterly,
leads workshops, and writes. Her poetry has appeared in
The Malahat Review, Prism International, and
Prairie Fire.
She won the CBC Literary Award in 2001, was shortlisted for the Pat Lowther Memorial Award in 2004 and was awarded the Acorn/Plantor
Award for People’s Poetry for her debut collection Ghost Maps: Poems for Carl Hruska
(Wolsak & Wynn). Her most recent books include
the memoir The Mongoose Diaries (Wolsak and Wynn, 2007) and the poetry collection
Seal Up the Thunder (Wolsak and Wynn Publishers, 2005).
