Get ready for summer, the season for gardening, picnicking, camping, and . . . unleashing
the writer within!
Join Jonis Agee and a prize-winning faculty of writers for
the third annual Nebraska Summer Writers' Conference. The program includes
writing workshops, master classes, readings, panel discussions, meals, advice sessions, and
inspiration. Writing workshops will be taught by
Rita Mae Brown, Robert Olen Butler, Jonathan Coleman, Elizabeth Dewberry, Stephen Dunn,
Jesse Lee Kercheval, Deirdre McNamer, Leslie Adrienne Miller, Hilda
az, Sharon Oard Warner, and more. New for this year's conference are
Master Classes in the Novel
with Ron Hansen, Nicholas Delbanco, and Brent Spencer, and a Master Class in
Poetry with Hilda Raz.
Conferees can also register for one-on-one advising sessions with
New York literary agents and editors.
Also new this year
Nebraska State Poet William Kloefkorn will teach a workshop for Nebraska high school
students, June 18-19.
