MORDECAI MARCUS is a poet and teaches English at the University of
Nebraska Lincoln.
Born in New Jersey in 1925, he grew up largely in Brooklyn and holds
degrees from Brooklyn College, New York University, and the
University of Kansas. He has lived in Nebraska since 1965,
when he joined the faculty at UNL.
His many critical articles began appearing in 1959 and have been

Restorations and Pursuing the Lost.
He's now
at work on a book to be called A Reader's Guide to Selected Shorter
