ON LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE |
|
The Creighton Conference on Language and
Literature will be held March 13-14, 1998 at the Embassy Suites
Downtown/Old Market, 555 South 10th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68102.
For two days, scholars and students in our region
and across the country will join for a series of panel discussions, papers,
and readings.
This year more than eighty local, regional, and national scholars will present the results of their research during the two-day conference. Special events include a reading by Irish-American poet Greg Delanty at the conference banquet Friday evening, a plenary session Saturday afternoon, and panels on current research in Henry James Studies and Romanticism. Sessions will be held from 9:15 - 5:00 Friday and Saturday. All presentations (with the exception of conference meals) are free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Creighton University Department of English, the Conference was formerly known as the "Midlands Conference on Language and Literature." Under its new name, it will continue its tradition of playing host to established scholars, local academics, and younger scholars just beginning their careers. For more information, click here. |
