ADRIAN GIBBONS KOESTERS is a native of Maryland and Washington State, and came to Omaha to attend Creighton University. Thirty years later, she says she is not from Nebraska, but now definitely of Nebraska. She has studied writing at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Creighton University, Pacific Lutheran University (MFA in poetry from the Rainier Writing Workshop), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (PhD in poetry and fiction). Her nonfiction book on spirituality, Healing Mysteries, was published by Paulist Press in 2005, and her first book of poems, Many Parishes, was published in 2013 by BrickHouse Books. She lives and teaches in Lincoln, Nebraska.
