Retirement from his teaching position at Nebraska Wesleyan University
has not slowed down State Poet
William Kloefkorn, who's busier than ever
writing and reading his poetry and publishing a memoir (This Death by
Drowning).
And now, as if poetry, memoir, and hog-calling aren't occupying enough of his time,
he's published his first collection of short fiction,
A Time to Sink Her Pretty Little Ship (
Logan House Press),
already in its second printing.
It's a book of quirky truths that looks with a sidelong but affectionate
gaze at the business of living. Here's to you, Bill Kloefkorn, our
Top of the Rock for July 2000!
