The new novel by National Book Award finalist Richard Dooling is just out from
HarperCollins. Described as a "techno-noir thriller" by Publishers Weekly,
Bet Your Life is about a terminally ill man
who sells his life insurance policy to an investor who expects to collect when the
sick man dies. That is, if the man is truly sick. And if the man even exists.
Part thriller, part social satire, Bet Your LIfe is what you'd get if you crossed
John LeCarré with Jorge Luis Borges. A great read from this highly celebrated
writer.
