Marjorie Saiser's
Lost in Seward County
Here's to Marjorie Saiser, whose
first book, Bones of a Very Fine Hand, won the Nebraska Book Award for Poetry in 2000.
She received the Literary Heritage Award in 1999 from the Nebraska Literary Heritage Association and a fellowship
in literature from the Nebraska Arts Council in 2000.
Her poems continue to be published in literary journals including
Prairie Schooner, Cream City Review, Laurel Review, Meridian, and Georgia Review.
Lost in Seward County is her second full-length collection. Of it,
Nebraska Territory has said,
"Someone get a permanent marker and add Marjorie Saiser's name to the list of Nebraska's literary treasures."
