FRANK WHEELER was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1978, a stoneís throw away from the Mississippi River. As the son of a preacher, he spent his earliest years moving across the south and southwest until coming to rest in Nebraska, where he has lived since the age of ten. A writer from the earliest age, he has held a cornucopia of jobs to support this habit, from painting walls to making pizzas, tending bar to passing meds in a nursing home, selling doors and windows in a hardware store to researching obituaries for the Nebraska Historical Society. He learned to tell stories from his mother and grandfather, and from his relatives from Arkansas and Oklahoma. He graduated from UNL with a Masterís in English and currently teaches in Nebraska. He has published a short story and book reviews in the online magazine Crime Factory. His novel, The Wowzer, is forthcoming from Thomas & Mercer publishers.
