PATTI FRAZEE received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre at the University of NebraskA — Kearney and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Writing at Hamline University in St Paul, Minnesota. She received the "Outstanding Thesis in Fiction" at Hamline for her work on her novel Cirkus (Alyson Books, 2006). Born in Red Oak, Iowa and raised in Fremont, Nebraska, Frazee grew up with five siblings, who created a circus-like atmosphere every day. Frazee now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she teaches fiction writing at the Loft Literary Center. She recently received an Honorable Mention in the Astraea Lesbian Foundation \ for Justice 2005 Emerging Lesbian Writer’s Fund.
