SEAN DOOLITTLE grew up in southeastern Nebraska. His first two novels, Dirt and Burn were published by UglyTown). More recently, Rain Dogs was published by Random House/Bantam Dell (2005). His most recent novel is The Cleanup (Dell, 2006). His writing was shortlisted for the CWA/Macallan Dagger Award. He won the Gold Medal in ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Award in 2003 for Burn. And Dirt was an Amazon.com Top 100 Editor's Pick for 2001. His newest novel is Safer (Delacorte, 2009). He holds the MA from the University of Nebraska — Lincoln, where he won the Mari Sandoz Prize for his fiction. He lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa, with his wife and daughter.
