KIARA BRINKMAN was born in Omaha but mostly grew up in the Bay Area of California. She is the author of several stories (published in McSweeney's, Pindeldyboz, and elsewhere) and a novel, Up High in the Trees (Grove/Atlantic, 2007). She is a graduate of Brown University and Goddard College, where she earned the MFA in creative writing. She lives in San Francisco, where she is a teacher and tutor, working with children. |
