Fiction writer JACK BARRON is an ordained minister who served in the amphibious force of the United States Navy in World War II, received a degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and served a church in the mountains of Kentucky. He had a year of graduate study in Brussels, Belgium and served for three years as a missionary in the Equatorial Province of the Belgian Congo. On return to the States he completed three nine year pastorates for churches in the Midwest He has published two books, Pages From An African Notebook and The Brother, along with many articles in church periodicals. He's at work on a new novel, to be called Painted Ponies. He and his wife live in Beatrice, Nebraska.
