NEIL AZEVEDO is a poet and a graduate of the University of Nebraska — Omaha's Writer's Workshop, after which he went on for the MFA at Columbia University. After serving on the editorial staff of the Reference Division at Columbia University Press, he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, and is now publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Zoo Press and an adjunct professor at UNO and Editor of The Nebraska Review. His poems appear regularly in such journals as The Paris Review and The New Criterion. His poetry has been honored with the 1998 Bernard F Conners Prize from The Paris Review and an award from the Academy of American Poets. His first book, Ocean, is available from Grove/Atlantic in April 2005.
