Barbara Schmitz is a former editor of
The Elkhorn Review and author of two chapbooks,
Making Tracks (Suburban Wilderness P) and The Lives
of the Saints (Main-Travelled Roads/Sandhills P). The recipient of
a Nebraska Arts Council Fellowship, her new poems have been described as
"tough, seasoned, well-grounded" by David Lee, Poet Laureate of Utah and
"far-seeing" by Natalie Goldberg, author of Writing Down the
Bones.
