Five Voices, One Land
April 6-7, 2001
The Center for Great Plains Studies is sponsoring the conference, which will feature
a keynote address by Pulitzer prize-winning author Jane Smiley, author of Moo, A
Thousand Acres, Horse Heaven and The All-True Travels and Adventures of Lidie Newton.
Among the other highlights will be panels and papers on the work of Wright Morris,
William Stafford, Louise Erdrich, Angie Debo, Frederick Manfred, and others. For more
